Big C Hygiene and Quality Control Department has one goal, the health of our customers, and 4 missions :
- Make sure 100% of items sold at Big C follow the Vietnamese regulations.
- Control supplier factories with our partner, a world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.
- Implement the hygiene and quality control standard operation procedure.
- Provide training program for Big C's staffs.

1Infrastructure
► Modern style, good ventilation design.
► Fresh food section is located in special cold systems with appropriate temperature.
► Production equipments are imported from France with routine maintenance.

2Training
► Provide routine health checking for employees => make sure they are healthy in order to produce food.
► Diverse training programmes match with different levels of employees in order to gain better awareness of food hygiene and safety.

3 Process
► The process of sterilization and hygiene are established and applied at all stages of food production area in order to ensure a modern and safe production environment.
► Personal hygiene, food processing hygiene, sanitation and sterilization equipment.
►Complying the food preservation, quality control of input, safe chemical usage processes.

4 Products
► Big C has specific requirements in order to ensure the quality of a variety of different products.
► Fresh food: suppliers must acquire the requirements of quality, packaging, storage and transportation.
► Industrial products: all products must have quality certificate, label requirements, conditions for preservation and transportation.
► Cosmetics goods: every product must have quality certificate (quality standards, safety…), and acquires the label requirements.

5 Appraisal
► Frequently send products to the particular laboratories for checking whether the products are appropriate enough based on the standards.
► Frequently check the production environment such as water, air, food contacted facets...
